I have a old 15pin serial port joystick. My new Motherboard dont have such port. So I wish to connect it using USB. Please tell me what should I do? Where can I find a 15pin serial to USB connector?
I have broken usb ports (emachine E520 acer). My question is can I use the vga port or the ethernet port to connect other devices like a mouse or camera that has usb? I saw some connectors that can be used in ethernet or the vga with one end of usb which I can again connect it with a female end of usb.
I bought USB connector from Belkin so I can use it on new pc and laptop which has no serial connectors, but no success with it.
Is any PDA-Cradle available via USB connector?

Im going to be doing some electronics work soon, and im looking at a cir brd with a spot for a serial port connector. instead of buying one of those and soldering it to the board, can i use a molex connector and just put a usb port there or will that not work?
thats basically what im asking though, I have to program the pics and isd chip, so i could somehow change the 4 pin connection on the board to a usb rather than a serial right? with software?

I have a motorhome with a rearview camera that produces a Composite video signal to an LCD screen. My screen is broken. Is it possible to make my Windows XP computer function as an LCD monitor to view the signal from the camera?
Obviously, I’ll need a cable to convert the RCA composite video into some other kind of connector for the computer (USB, VGA port, firewire?), and some hardware and/or software?
I’d like to use the computer for its old purpose (GPS Display and Engine monitor), and add this new capability to see the rearview camera output. Is this a simple or difficult task? Any help appreciated….
