Can I use my computer as a video display for rearview camera’s composite video?
BuckarooBanzai asked:
I have a motorhome with a rearview camera that produces a Composite video signal to an LCD screen. My screen is broken. Is it possible to make my Windows XP computer function as an LCD monitor to view the signal from the camera?
Obviously, I’ll need a cable to convert the RCA composite video into some other kind of connector for the computer (USB, VGA port, firewire?), and some hardware and/or software?
I’d like to use the computer for its old purpose (GPS Display and Engine monitor), and add this new capability to see the rearview camera output. Is this a simple or difficult task? Any help appreciated….

Yes bcox tried it before…
Good luck
Your best bet is getting a USB video capture card. Make sure it’s the kind that lets you watch live video, rather than just record (as example, only from a dvd/vcr tape).
