thats basically what im asking though, I have to program the pics and isd chip, so i could somehow change the 4 pin connection on the board to a usb rather than a serial right? with software?</p>

<p>I also have a Displayport, and I found on Dell.com that they have a Displayport to VGA adapter, but my computer is not listed as compatible, as well as there is a review saying it didn&#8217;t work with it. </p>
<p>I was told about a USB to VGA connector, but that was over $100, which I really don&#8217;t want to drop on this. </p>
<p>Any viable answer is much appreciated. </p>
