I’m getting the USB Connector on Ebay and downloaded the latest update on Nintendo’s website.I know it’s discontinued and all,but will it still work(i have AT&T/Yahoo High speed Internet and a computer currently running Windows Vista)?I am planning on using it on my Wii so that i can get new channels and play online(maybe on my DS).

On ebay I have been looking at the nintendo wifi usb connector thing. There are a few of the official ones but I don’t want to do any bidding. There are also lots of other things that are "generic" that you can buy directly with free shipping. I was wondering if anyone has ever used one like this and if it works well. Thanks.
I was only looking at these because routers were a little expensive.

Can you just plug it into your computer, and run the software, or do you need to use the included USB cable? I’m planning on buying just the connector on ebay, but I saw on the Nintendo website that it might not work without the USB extension cable. Is that true?

Where is the best place to get a USB connector and a powercord for a

According to one person selling 5 pin mini-b usb cords on ebay, these things connect to Sony, HP, Canon, Fuji and Olympus cameras. I’m pretty sure I’ve used a Fuji that did not have that connection, but I’m sticking to these brands from now on. Kodak definitely does not use a standard cable and if I lose the cable that came with the camera, it will be a big pain the regain the ability to charge it or get pictures out.

I’d rather not always pull the memory card out just to get pictures.
