How do you transfer video from camcorder to your computer with a usb connection and no firewire. Need Driver?

I have 3 cameras and all are over 500.00 in value one is actually 2999.99 but I want to be able to transfer it to my computer and edit so I can make profesional videos well low buget but still professiona. I have video express but when I use that when it goes to my computer it keeps the battery bar and everything on the video and that makes it not even youtube ready. I just want to be able to transfer from my camcorder to computer without firewire because I don’t know how to use the firewire connection and I like the usb. 1 of my camcorders can’t even use the video express so how will I just use the USB to transfer the videos.
